Please join us for the award winning documentary film, The Welcome. This soulful film offers a fiercely intimate view of life after war: the fear, anger and isolation of post-traumatic stress that affects vets and family members alike. The examples of unflinching honesty, courage and love lift us up, inspiring all of us once again to feel our common humanity, always the first casualty of war.
The Pathway Home, located in Yountville, is a non profit transitional residential center for men who have returned from serving our Country in Iraq or Afghanistan. They are suffering from severe PTSD and or TBIs. The facility has successfully graduated more than 300 men from their Combat Trauma Program, enabling them to integrate into their communities and families. Fred Gusman, the Founder and Executive Director will be available along with several of the program’s Veterans for a Q & A following the film. To witness the testimonies of their recovery processes is moving, inspiring and heartwarming!
The Pathway Home does not receive and funding from the government, but depends on donations from businesses and individuals.
We will be offering local wines and $25.00 raffle tickets for a chance to win an Instant Wine Cellar!
